Gårdene er stadig inde i byen. Der skete ingen udskiftning på Nyord ved Landboreformen. Øen blev landfast med Møn i 1968 altså for 50 år siden næste år. (2018) Indbyggertallet er faldet fra 365 i 1901 til 37 i 2016.
