Fødet 1975, uddannet cand. mag. i historie og forhistorisk arkæolog fra Københavns Universitet i 2001, skrev 2008-10 ph.d.-afhandling om den danske flåde i 1700-tallet også ved Københavns Universitet. Har publiceret en række artikler og bidraget til bøger primært om dansk marinehistorie i 1700-tallet. Jeg arbejder på Statens Forsvarshistoriske Museum – Orlogsmuseet og Tøjhusmuseet, hvor jeg dels er ansat som forsker, dels varetager en række udstillings- og formidlingsopgaver.
